" WWE Clash Of Champions 2020: Gold Rush!"

Clash of Champions 2020 official poster

Clash Of Champions is the only night where all titles MUST be defended, who raised among others during this night? Let's take a look.

The Kick-Off show hosts the match for the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions between Cesaro & Nakamura against Lucha House Party; now, seeing the titles in a Kick Off Show already says it all about their current relevance, but despite this we witness a good match between these teams, and maybe Lucha House Party will implode in the following weeks.

BUT NOW IT'S TIME FOR CLASH OF CHAMPIONS 2020.

The Triple Threat Ladder Match with Sami Zayn, Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles opens the show and wow, what a match! I didn't expect anything less from these artists of the ring, and Sami winning a hard match after a very intriguing storyline is a very interesting way to legitimate him as champion, now on to the next challenger, good job! But here is where things get worse for the show.

We move on with Asuka vs Zelina Vega, a match that surprised the most but for me it is strange that Zelina goes to being a manager to competing with Asuka in a very short time, I think they had to build her as a credible opponent before sending her to the title picture; things seem far from over given what happened after the end of the match. Bobby Lashley defeats Apollo Crews: not surprised, it was obvious but I hope that this is the end of the story between Apollo and The Hurt Business. Street Profits defeat once against Garza and Andrade, with the ending who was fast because Garza was injured; now perhaps we will have to wait untill Garza recovers to see them challenge the Profits. Nikki Cross cannot compete against Bayley who issues an open challenge and once again Asuka answers, I would have preferred a new opponent, even from NXT but this is what we get; the match is nothing and it is all a set up for Banks to show up.

After this very boring and annoying part of the show we finally have some fresh air with McIntyre vs Orton and the main event. The Ambulance match is very good, I appreciated the Legends who show up to get a little revenge over Randy and McIntyre who uses the Punt Kick to win the match, great storytelling and once again McIntyre proves to be an amazing champion who never disappoints. Roman Reigns vs Jey Uso is what it has to be, Roman is stronger and we can clearly witness it during the match, and the Storytelling with Jimmy Uso giving up on behalf of his brother is brilliant; if they continue this way with Reigns, we finally could see a solid character carrying a solid Championship, and that is what WWE needs.

This was Clash Of Champions 2020, No Alexa Bliss, No Retribution, we will see what Smackdown and Raw have in store for them; that's it for now so from The Morning Wrestling have a good day and see ya next time!
