WWE SMACKDOWN 10/07/2022 REPORT

It's Friday Night SmackDown's Season Premiere and the night before Extreme Rules, we are ready for a can't miss episode!

Triple H opens this show and welcomes the WWE Universe to SmackDown. The Bloodline in full force enters the arena followed by YouTube Megastar Logan Paul : Logan stays out but then enters the ring. Heyman says that the YouTuber is a star brought to the show to increase the views, but he will end knocked down by Roman Reigns. Logan answers that he has a question for him: is the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns or Jey Uso? Jey yells something and Roman stares at him, Zayn tries to solve the situation and he manages to do so, bringing back the focus on Logan Paul, who leaves.

The Enforcer, Solo Sikoa, faces Ricochet 1 vs 1: Solo gains a little advantage before the match even begins. The former Intercontinental Champion does his best to fight the Enforcer, but with little success; Sikoa takes a convincing win with the Spinning Solo.

The Bloodline is backstage and Zayn highlights the fact the Jey is a Hot Head, but Roman says that it's Sami's problem now.

Jimmy, Jey and Sami meet The New Day and this leads to a challenge for a 6-men tag team match with a mysterious partner for Kofi and Woods.

Hit Row approaches the ring, but Legado Del Fantasma attacks from behind: Zelina Vega joins Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro and they put everyone on notice.

Xia Li & Sonya Deville have a tag team match against the team of Shotzi Blackheart & Raquel Rodriguez: Big Mami Cool and her new partner build momentum as they take the win over their opponents.

We watch a video that sums up the rivalry between Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan.

Scarlett and Karrion Kross make their way to the ring but McIntyre appears from behind and ambushes his rival: security guards arrive to separate them but Drew destroys everyone. Karrios uses the Strap to his advantage and inflicts pain to his Extreme Rules Opponent.

We see a fire burning and we hear the Viking Raiders and a Woman's voice saying that absence is not weakness and that they have been watching.

New Day reveals their partner of the night: Braun Strowman. The bloodline is worried: the match is controlled by Roman Reigns's family despite Zayn and Jey not being on the same page. When Strowman gets involved, things get worse for the Bloodline: the Monster takes Zayn and Jey out and allows Kofi and Woods to take the victory over Jimmy Uso.

Maxxine finds Mansoor and Mace down, and Max Duprí says his name is LA Knight and goes away.

Next week Zayn will face Kofi Kingston, LA Knight will go 1 vs 1 against Mansoor.

And we arrive to the Main Event: Gunther defends his IC Championship against Sheamus. We notice that both competition are alone; during the break, another White Rabbit video is shown, and we see Extreme Rules' date. Back to the in-ring action, The Celtic Warrior and The Ring General destroy each other in a harsh brawl. During the final moments, Gunther seems to tap out, but the ref doesn't end the match: Imperium shows up but the Brawling Brutes arrive and they brawl outside of the ring, distracting the ref and allowing Gunther to hit Sheamus illegally and steal the win. Meanwhile, outside of the ring, Butch, Holland, Kaiser and Vinci keep fighting.

The season premiere of SmackDown comes to an end with this controversial outcome: now eyes on Extreme Rules and on the Season Premiere of Monday Night Raw. As always, let us know your thoughts and we give appointment to a next report!
