Shad Gaspard and his family
We are used to unbeatable and supernatural figures when we are watching wrestling and sometimes we forget that when a show ends and lights go out those unbreakable figures are just humans like all of us.
It happens that life brings us back to reality but, too often, with tragedies we would never like to hear; this leads us to the latest tragedy pro Wrestling had to experience: Shad Gaspard's death.
For older wrestling fans Shad was a well known figure since he was a part of the Cryme Tyme alongside his friend JTG (shocked about this sad news), but for younger fans he may be a stranger so the most important thing you have to know about Shad is that he was one of the kindest people Wrestling ever witnessed, as his colleagues stated during these days.
His last chapter takes any doubt away: Gaspard is a hero. Sunday, while swimming with his ten-year son at Venice Beach, a wave raised and put both men in danger: Shad had the time to speak with lifeguards and instructed them in order to save his son first. Then we have not had news on him for two endless days until his body without life was found. A huge courage; this was the perfect example of what being a parent means: sacrificing his life for his kid.
Despite in wrestling he has never been a champion and he essentialy was a criminal, this story teaches us that behind those characters are very special people that are champions in real life; special, as Shad Gaspard.
We now want to take a second to send our thoughts and prayers to all his loved ones that are going through this situation, and invite you to support them as much as you can. Thank you Shad.
