"The inspiring story of a man's redemption."

A photo of the incident on Smackdown

The opening segment of the last episode of Smackdown had the WWE Universe's attention for days now, so I wanted to analyze it in this article to make things clear. First of all, let's see what happened: Renee Young tells us that there has been an incident that involved Elias, then a policeman finds a paper that says that it is Jeff Hardy's car, and then they find Hardy hurt, they arrest him and take him out, everything with an interview to Braun Strowman who says what he witnessed.

Now, this angle bothered many fans and I can understand the reason: Jeff Hardy had an actual issue with drinking, arrests and incidents, so playing with his past like this was disrespectful, above all in a moment like this where we are trying to face serious problems like cyber bullies or racists. This is a good motivation, but do you think that Jeff Hardy would have allowed it if he did not agree with it? Jeff was conscious about the hole situation, and was okay with it, otherwise they would have never done it.

If your opinion is that, despite Hardy agreed, the segment was still not necessary, try to think that all of this can be very interesting for the career of Hardy. Think about it: we discovered that Hardy had an incident because he was drunk, Elias got involved and Jeff was arrested, then we find that Jeff did nothing and someone else wanted to ruin his life to prove that Jeff was nothing but a liar; Jeff redeems himself, gets his revenge and defeats not only the guilty but also his addictions, showing that he really put the past behind him and that now he is a better man: isn't that amazing for him?

If this was the scenario, it would be the best way to send a message: if you have an addiction, no matter what kind, you can overcome and win it if you stay strong and keep your mind focused; second chances will give you the possibility to show that prejudices are wrong, and that deep inside you are a fantastic person. It would give hope, joy, smile and could inspire people to accept the others, to never give up and, above all, to help who is in need, because life is too short to live it full of hate, sometimes all it takes is a hug and few words.
