" You'll never see it coming: WWE Summerslam 2020."

WWE SUMMERSLAM 2020 OFFICIAL POSTER

"You'll never see it coming", they said and, well, this could be true just for the Main Event since the rest of the Show was more or less predictable, even though this does not ruin a very good mark for this edition of SummerSlam, let's take a look!

When I learnt that the match for the United States Championship was in the Kick-off Show I was very surprised; MVP and The Hurt Business have played a very important role these past few weeks on Raw and putting them and Apollo in the Kick-Off was not a great move since the status of the US Title does not benefit from this. The match was normal, very similar to the one we saw on Raw and the result is also the same, Crews retains, which is the best option to continue to build his character, but at the same time this Hurt Business situation is getting bad since Lashley failed his WWE Championship opportunity, MVP failed his opportunity at the US Title and Benjamin keeps fighting for the 24/7 title.

The Main Show started with the first of the two Asuka matches, that with Bayley; good match, once again, from The Empress and The Role Model, I'm really loving Bayley during this run and her defending was the best solution to keep her momentum and leave the door open to a future rivalry with Sasha Banks. We continued with The Street Profits who maintained their titles against Garza & Andrade, I don't know what they have in store for the Latinos but it is not going to be good if they keep losing opportunities. Sonya Deville will leave WWE; understandable, she needs time off from what she went through this past week so good job. The Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins defeated Dominik Mysterio, wow, Dominik impressed me; for being his first match in WWE he really did a great job, Seth needed the win to continue his crusade and to earn credibility but I see a bright future for Dominik. We moved on with the match between Asuka and Sasha with the Japanese who won the Raw Women's Championship and yes, this was the right move because it could open to many scenarios on Raw, where Asuka will hopefully face new opponents, and on Smackdown, where the Golden Role Models have much to settle just one week from their Tag Team Titles defense. Drew McIntyre defeated Orton, the match was simple but effective, the only thing I didn't appreciate at all was the ending with a Roll-Up, I would have preferred a Claymore and a 1,2,3 count to make a statement about Drew as a champion, he defeated Brock Lesnar at WM after all.

And now we arrive at the Main Event, The Fiend vs Braun Strowman, classic Falls Count Anywhere with brawls around the arena and The Fiend takes his title back; now, I expected and wanted to see Alexa Bliss involved in this match and instead we got the return of Roman Reigns; I see their point, they wanted to impose Roman in the shortest time but now what is next? Roman will fight The Fiend for the Title? If this happens we know that Roman will win the Universal Championship, and once again, Bray Wyatt would be screwed. Alexa Bliss will follow Bray? Will Strowman and Alexa continue their storyline without The Fiend? Will they just erase this angle just to move on with Reigns? We need many answers.

The show was very good, I really enjoyed it, except for the ending of Drew - Orton and Fiend - Strowman, but very good job WWE.  And you? Did you like it? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts, see you next time!

P.S. The WWE ThunderDome is amazing, I'm loving it!
