After the news of Vince McMahon's retirement, Brock Lesnar leaving with him and all of the controversial stuff WWE is going through, a new episode of Smackdown airs, let's check out what happened!
Stephanie McMahon welcomes the WWE Universe to the show and thanks his father with the fans.
The Street Profits enter the arena to say that they are walking out of SummerSlam as the new champions: Theory interrupts to remind us of his intentions at SummerSlam but the Usos come out because Mr. Money In The Bank mentioned Roman Reigns; Profits laugh and Theory makes fun of Ford leading to a brawl in the ring which sees the interference of Moss to rebalance the situation.
Nakamura vs Kaiser takes place: Ludwig wins thanks to the Intercontinental Champion Gunther but, after the match, Gunther punishes the German once again because he needs to win on his own.
Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey are interviewed backstage: Ronda wants the title back even though she respects Liv but the Champion says that that is not happening since no one has more passion than her.
Corbin attacks MCafee who follows him leaving to a locker room brawl. Pat enters the ring and grabs a microphone with the support of the fans; he promises to defeats Happy at the Biggest Party of The Summer.
New Day joins the commentary table to watch closely the match between the Viking Raiders and Mahal & Shanky; the Raiders win by Count-out.
Adam Pearce is joined by Sonya Deville backstage: Sonya despises Adam's job and Adam tells her that she has a match against Raquel Rodriguez.
The Brawling Brutes enter the arena and Sheamus jokes about Boston before telling us that he wants Drew's sword to be banned because it is dangerous; McIntyre shows up and tells Sheamus that he doesn't recognize him and proposes the N. 1 contender match to take place at that very same moment, Sheamus refuses because that match is happening next week with Angela banned, no DQ, no count-outs.
Paul Heyman prepares the Usos with a plan to use Theory during the 6-men tag team match of the evening and, after they win the match, he invites them to destroy him.
Raquel Rodriguez vs Sonya Deville is on and RR wins another match and keeps her momentum high.
Aliyah is set to face Lacey Evans after what happened these past few weeks; before the match Lacey once again yells at the WWE Universe and hits a cheap shot on Aliyah before leaving the arena.
Jeff Jarrett is interviewed backstage and he promises to do the best he can at SummerSlam because he doesn't feel the pressure.
Maxinne Duprà announces that next week we will witness the Beachwear collection of the Maximum Male Models.
Main Event takes place with Usos and Theory vs Street Profits and Madcap Moss: during the match, Theory tries to escape but the Usos hit him and, in the end, the Youngest United States champion in history causes DQ using the briefcase against Moss: Brock Lesnar appears and destroys Theory to end the show.
This episode of Smackdown comes to its end, highlighting once again a lazy WWE who seems to be doing the least possible to build this SummerSlam. As always, thanks for reading, see you in a next report,
