WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT 07/15/2022

Friday Night Smackdown ends this week's WWE product, let's see what happened on the blue brand!

The show is opened by Michael Cole who welcomes us and introduces his friend and colleague Pat Mcafee; Pat holds the microphone and addresses Happy Corbin with the support of the WWE Universe: Corbin appears on the titantron just to remind Mcafee that the attack at Money In The Bank was just the beginning and that at SummerSlam he will finish the job. It seems like both are ready for their match and, to be honest, I am pretty curious as well given the ability of Pat to connect with the crowd.

Liv Morgan makes her entrance to start the wrestling action against Natalya in a Championship contender's match: the fight is full of mistakes and for the most part of the match the two miss the chemistry. Liv wins and builds momentum towards her match against Ronda Rousey that will take place at the Party of the Summer. Surely she enters the Underdog but I think Liv will find a way to retain the Championship.

We see that Paul Heyman tries to corrupt Theory in order to convince him not to cash-in his briefcase at SummerSlam, but failing in the attempt.

The New Day mokes the Viking Raiders who show up; we find out that it is all a set-up since Mahal and Shanky aid the New Day and together they force the Raiders to escape. Apparently,  Jinder and Shanky are now Face and this opens to new scenarios for them in the Tag Team division.

Gunther punishes Kaiser once again because he wants no failure, so next week Ludwig must defeat Shinsuke Nakamura.

Lacey Evans, officially heel, enters the arena for the scheduled match against Alyah, but once again the former Marine is not happy with the crowd and yells at the WWE Universe before leaving the ring. I really don't get what WWE is willing to do with Lacey, we'll see next week if more details will be given.

This week Sheamus sends Ridge The Fridge against Drew Mcintyre: easy win for Drew and now there is only Sheamus left to defeat for the Scottish Warrior to earn a title match at Clash At The Castle.

Heyman wants Madcap Moss to destroy Theory in their match but Moss laughs and says that the Bloodline is just worried about the money in the bank.  During the match, Theory attacks  Moss with the briefcase causing a disqualification, Sami Zayn appears followed by the Usos who allow Madcap to hit Mr. Money In The Bank.

Maximum Male Model returns next week with the beach showdown.

The Main Event of the evening sees Jimmy Uso face Angelo Dawkins: the match ends with a win by Angelo but in a controversial way; here we discover that at SummerSlam Jeff Jarret will return to be the special guest referee for the title match between Usos and Street Profits. The teams start a fight to end the show. Now, the question is obvious: of all people, why Jeff Jarret? What connection does he have with this whole story?

For this report it's all, a Smackdown with lots of difficulties as of now and with no serious attraction is in the history books. As always, we recommend to support us and we give you an appointment for our next report.
