Friday Night Smackdown is live from North Carolina, developments, surprises and an Intercontinental title match await us!
The first round of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships Tournament opens the show and the teams involved are: Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah vs Shotzi & Xia Li. RR & Aliyah win and will face either Natalya & Sonya Deville or Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark in the semi-finals.
We watch a video package of the rivalry between Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns with the new involved Karrion Kross. The new arrival and Scarlett talk about their rivals and claim to get vengeance and that soon everyone will be talking about them.
The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre enters the arena acclaimed by the fans as usual; Drew addresses Kross saying that he will take care of him when the time is right and then Drew goes on to talk about his match against Roman, until The Angel of Doom Scarlett interrupts: the Usos attack the N. 1 contender from behind and finish him with the 1D. The Usos then warn Scarlett who is not afraid.
As WWE did for the United States Championship, they make us watch a clip about the prestige of the Intercontinental title that is defended by Gunther against Shinsuke Nakamura. The Artist is ready for the Ring General.
Kofi Kingston attacks The Viking Raiders during their entrance with a Kendo Stick, but the Raiders are too strong and destroy the member of the New Day.
The honorary Uce Sami Zayn knocks at Roman's locker room and The Usos open: Zayn tries to talk but McIntyre ambush the Undisputed Tag Team Champions with Sami who escapes.
Hit Row returns to Friday Night Smackdown to face two sparring partners; Ashantee "Thee" Adonis and Top Dolla win easily. After the match, B-Fab and her friends put us on notice.
Liv Morgan and Shayna Baszler are scheduled to sign the contract for their match at Clash At The Castle but Ronda Rousey shows up to pay her fine; Ronda attacks a security guard but then she leaves and The Queen Of Spades enters the ring. Shayna signs the contract and calls out Liv: The champion makes her way to the ring and signs the contract; Shayna attacks Liv's injured arm but the Champ manages to put the Fighter through a table.
The Usos get mad at Zayn and then enter the ring; a 2 on 1 handicap match between Usos and McIntyre takes place but soon Madcap Moss enters to even up the odds, so the match becomes a Tag team contest. During the match, Sami tries to interfere but, finally, Moss & Drew pick up the win. After the match, Sami takes a Claymore while saving Jey Uso.
Maximum Male Models is taking photos backstage when Los Lotharios interrupt and propose themselves as new members of the group to Maxxine DuprÃ.
Ricochet is interviewed: The High Flyer makes fun of Corbin who suddenly attacks him.
The Main Event is the Intercontinental Championship match between Shinsuke and Gunther: after an amazing fight, full of twists and counters, the Ring General is victorious and retains his Championship.
